The Big'Un is coming!

Well, it's almost here: the Big'Un is upon us!
After much publicity, the War and Peace Revival Show is starting next week (17th -21st July).
Conveniently, it is right on my doorstep unlike many who will have to travel a round trip of 30 odd miles extra to get there.
I have heard complaints of it being too far etc, but bear in mind that you only have one round-a-bout to negotiate and that is after leaving the motorway at Jnc 11 M20.
Unlike Jnc 4(which is a 17 mile round trip to the previous venue) and encompasses no less than six round-a-bouts on a 50 mph road.
Although longer, it is more economical to travel via the M20 to Folkestone at a steady speed, rather than stop/ start in traffic on the A228.
Already there are people on site -which is enormous- and each day sees more arriving.
The team are working flat out, getting everything ready for the Big Day, and the access road is already in place, along with the security fencing around the stall area.
It is going to be good, but will take a lot of patience from us all to get used to this new venue, and no doubt there will be loads of 'whinges' about how it is not the same etc., but we must keep an open mind, enjoy and support this event with the enthusiasm that we have over the past years.
The weather forecast is looking good, so head on down and make a new beginning! See you there!
