Xmas Round-up 2012

Well, another year is coming to a close and I have been neglecting my input to the website due to work, other commitments, computers that turned themselves on and off due to an embedded virus and generally being knackered, plus a last minute shop for beloved's Xmas present!
What a year it has been as well- virtually every weekend out on a rally somewhere or other, mostly in inclement weather!
From the first outing to Merton Farm, to the Western Heights to Poppy Day, it was cold and damp.
War & Peace was squashy to say the least, while Souchez was dry and warm.
Combined Ops was yet another success on one of the rare weekends when the sun shone, with a positive response from exhibitors and public alike. Souchez was down in numbers and full reports are in Imprint.
War & Peace has been re-named - although the majority of us will still know it as W&P- to The War and Peace Revival Show which, after 30-odd years, is moving to a new home at Folkestone Racecourse, just off of Jnc 11 on the M20.
There will be a few whinges, but it looks like a good move with a lot of work to getting it sorted. Good Luck, Rex!Being local, I look forward to it, as there are supermarkets and fuel stations, lots of sight-seeing and history all within a few minutes drive. Go on; make it a holiday!
Our Christmas Dinner was held at the Cider Works, Eythorne, Nr Dover, was well attended and a great time was had by all. A buffet was held on our last club night for those that couldn't make it that evening.
Most of our members have 'bedded' their vehicles for the winter and getting them ready for next year's season. Well, that just about wraps it up for now.I hope that you have enjoyed the scribbling over the last year and I'd like to think that some of you will contact Nigel Hay, with a view to doing the same. I will ad some photos once I've sorted out how to use this new computer!
Have a Happy, Healthy New Year and look forward to meeting up with you at sometime at a rally next year. Safe driving and Keep 'Em Rollin'!
