Senlac Rally Bodium 2012

Another day without rain and even less wind with a hint of warmth in the air as well! This is the second time that I have attend this event. Last year was marred by rain. This year it seemed that there were far more vehicles of all descriptions attending, while at one stage the roads into the event were static with traffic!
A good show by IMPs members, many of which had just shown up on the day, with a varied mix of vehicles. For a change there were only about three Jeeps while the Land Rovers took the lead, with a couple of Reos and a Scammell, which was to proveits worth later in the day.
Due to the softness of the ground, a bus had become stuck while entering the field. Scammel to the fore! Even that had trouble to the extent that the winch was used to move the bus in preference to towing.
I used my Jeep to tow a Dutch campervan out of the site while the Scammell was called upon a couple of more times in the afternoon. This show is big! A good selection of stalls, live music, dancing and entertainment, it certainly is worth a visit!
