Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!
Well, it has been a year of fun, frolics and tragedy.
We started the year at Merton Farm in better weather
than 2010.We carried on through the season at the usual,
regular gigs along with a couple of new ones, which
saw us at a cat sanctuary and a pub's field! Things
looked good for season until a tragic accident on the
M20 - resulting in the death of Marc Open, a well-
respected and well-loved member of IMPs - brought home
how vulnerable we are in our vehicles in this day and
age.
War & Peace was, well, War & Peace. Malcolm Dunlop
and his 'Kelly's Heroes' put on another spectacular
show, while Suchez was wet, although we had a Gite and
stayed for a few days after to make a holiday of the
trip.
Combined Ops was a success again, even after a
doubtful weather start. Thanks again to all who made
the show possible.
The culmination of the year was the 70th Anniversary
get together at Woolwich Barracks, excellently organized
by Nick Knowles. Alas, my engine shot on the way home
and is now undergoing radical surgery!
This season I shall be joining the Trailer Queens and
towing my Jeep to overnight events, so watch out for an
old Transit (Green, of course!)struggling along the
the road!
Our Christmas Dinner was at a mid-way pub due to the
area covered by our region with a buffet at the
following club night for those that didn't get to the
dinner, both of which were superbly organized by our
secretary, Bob Ellis.
Well, just a bit about last year and looking forward to this year's events. Now, more input is needed for our
website, so get in touch with Nigel Hay and get writing
or sending those photos in. The more content that we can
onto the site, the better it is for us and Mr Google!
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!
