SPECIFICATION SHEET TDS 370-SUPERCOTE ENAMEL
DESCRIPTION: A fast drying finish exhibiting a High Gloss and showing good exterior durability. Particularly suitable for vehicle refinishing and Agricultural uses.
Supercote Enamel offers the following advantages:-
Fast drying for rapid handling.
High gloss finish 85% minimum at 20 Deg reflectance.
Flash point above 32 Deg C.
Can be used where force drying is required (up to 70 Deg C).
Good resistance to gasoline.
COLOURS: BS4800, RAI & Aricultural shades.
DRYING TIMES: Surface dry: 1 1/2 hours at 20Deg C.
Hard dry: 16 hours at 20 Deg C.
COVERING Theoretical: 13-15 m2/LT
CAPACITY: Practical: This will be less than the theoretical and will be dependant on the type of application.
WET FILM THICKNESS: 65-80 microns (2.6-3.8 mils)
DRY FILM THICKNESS: 25-30 microns (1.0-1.2 mils)

FLASH POINT: 37 Deg C (98.6 Deg F)
THINNERS: TH.25
APPLICATION: Supercote enamel is supplied at a suitable consistency for brush application, and no thinning is recommended.
For airless spray, up to 10% of TH25 thinner by volume may be added. We recommend a tip size of 9-15 mils and a pressure at the tip of 1700-2000 psi.
For conventional spray application, 10-15% of TH25 thinner by volume may be added (thinned to approx. 30 sec Pord no4). We recommend a tip size of 1.4-1.8mm and a pressure of 40-50 psi.
SURFACE Steelwork must be clean and all traces of oil and grease
PREPARATION: should be removed with an appropriate solvent or degreasing agent.
MILD STEEL: For maximum protection, a coat of Supercote Primer/Undercoat TDS 371 should be applied before overcoating with Supercote enamel.
SUPERCOTE CAN BE APPLIED OVER OLD PAINT PROVIDED IT IS
HARD, ADHERENT AND RUBBED DOWN. IF UNCERTAIN OF
COMPATIBILITY, CARRY OUT A FEASIBILITY TRIAL ON A SMALL
TEST AREA.
HEALTH & SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
TOXICITY: Care must be taken to avoid inhaling the solvent vapour for any length of time. Good ventilation is essential.
FIRE RISK: The solvent vapor can form an explosive mixture with air and no naked lights of any kind can be allowed in the vicinity.
