Major redevelopement at Tank Museum

The museum is undergoing a major redevelopement and now has enhanced viewing areas including an observation tower.
The Tank Museum in Bovington Dorset houses
the world's largest and finest collection of Armoured Fighting Vehicles from unique World War 1 tanks to the latest main battle tank of the British Army - Challenger.
The Museum has a collection of
almost 300 vehicles from over 26 countries.
The Tank Museum multi-million pound redevelopment project "At Close Quarters" is set to revolutionise the home of the world’s finest collection of tanks, transforming a
successful visitor attraction into a leading edge museum experience.
The project is creating more space to display and interpret the artefacts, and will be utilising the latest technology to create cutting edge exhibitions to enhance the visitor experience.
The new gallery is due to open in Spring 2009.
